crafty queen

There is an etsy seller by the name of Her Royal Majesty Bags who this pin would’ve been perfect for.

But to ensure that she saw it I would’ve had to drop her a note.

And that would’ve been spam.

I don’t really know her either, so it wouldn’t have been cool.

So I listed it and hoped she would see it, as it really would’ve been perfect for her.

I let my buttons find the right owners, taking faith in the notion that the right pin gets to the right person and that person wears it at the right time and that maybe the right person meets their soul mate because they’re wearing it. And then those two get together and make a baby and that baby is Tesla re-incarnated and he makes some groovy network of free clean energy stations around the world and because of those stations climate change gets a death blow and the arctic gets cold again and I win the Nobel Prize for coolest buttons ever.

Anyhoo…HRMB did not buy the button.

It was listed for less than a day and some other lucky soul will get to carve out a future with it pinned on their lapel or backpack or onto their knitting bag.

And so, the beat goes on…

Ciao,

A~

My bunny is my everything

 Two Things…

A) I am *so* tired. We stayed up late to watch Beowulf last night.

I honestly don’t know why.

We were ready to call it a night about half way through.

Not my favorite movie.

B) The hedgehog pins pictured in our last post sold the same day I listed them. Yay!

So today we listed these super cuties. Ya for bunny owners and their furry friends!

I’m tired, but the Cute must go on. ;p

 Later Gators,

I’m on ur st patrix dae card, drinkin ur green beerz

Everybody is Irish on St.Patrick’s day.

And I admit it.

I’ve seen a pint or two of green beer in my day.

Bleg.

I like my beer on the tangy side of shandy…with the juice of a lime or two added to a pint. *mmmmmmm* Sour.

Ummm…hey, look what I made with my gocco and my etsy friend madeinlowells wunderbar photo of her handsome cat fella, Mr.Chet.

The Chetster.

Chet o rama.

Anyhoo…

She let me use a pic of Chet holding a brew.

I did my magic in the graphic arts department, added the hilarious tag line and printed it onto a screen via my gocco PG printer.

AWESOME!

From the ok to use madein’s photo to having a bunch of cool cards that were printed , photographed and for sale on the etsy site was less than two hours.

And I made Lunch in between the computer part and the inky part.

Gocco Printmaker, I Love You.

I really  hope any  readers visiting the blog are having a nice week.

Ciao,

Greetings and Salutations y’all. It’s been a few days since I could carve out the time to post here in the blog, but man, it’s been *super* busy! I figured I’d be able to take a wee bit of a breather after the Holiday season. However, it seems like no one told the punters that they were supposed to be frozen in the financial headlights like a deer crossing the 22x. There has been no sign of a slow down, in fact, we’re as busy as we were pre Xmas 2007. Lots and lots of button sales and lots of sales of our way cool greeting cards. In fact, now that I think about it, we sold a lot of original art as well.  What gives you may well ask?

Well, I assume that our overall price points offer a good Feel Good return on any given purchase. At this juncture I am *so* glad not to be selling big ticket, upscale items as I’m not sure that most people can currently justify that kind of spending.

Where as a little button(see above) that makes you laugh ( because otherwise, you’d have to cry) is a steal during this ice cap melting, middle east wackiness, non renewable resource madness that seems to be making it’s mark here in the old 21 century.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again…buttons are good.

Looks like I was right on the money.

Unlike the Sub Prime Mortgage Lenders/Lendees.

Happy Weekend World,

A~

Our in house designed lolcatz valintines card.Yay!

…showin’ off my valinitines day lolcatz card.

New for the upcoming season of woo, this is our second i can haz cheezburgers tribute card.

I can haz cheezburgers is a funny thing. When you watch the news, you’d think humanity is made up of individuals who are toxic and cruel, self centered and brutish.  When you visit the lolcatz, you see this other silly, mostly sweet, plain old uber goofiness that is so far removed from the news of the day, that it’s a puzzling, but blessed relief to the soul.

Humans.

We’re so good, we’re so bad… I could ponder it for days…

But someone ( like me) has to make a nice lunch of grilled cheese (Havarti…yum)sammys with a side salad of crisp romaine, tossed with a homemade low fat ranch dressing with a few sliced mushrooms tossed in to keep Bruno on his toes.

Wanna keep a man interested?

You gotta keep em guessing.

The Dynamic Duo

…And we Love it with a capitol L.

It’s been so long since we took our tentative first steps into the world of The 1 Inch Smooching Pin back button biz. We’ve grown the movement to include buttons about smooching crafty wives, and nerdy boyfriends and nerdy wives and the occasional geeky husband (by request of course!). I’ve even received feedback in the etsy shop which exclaimed that lovemaking was the result of our button.

RESULT!

Oh yeah baby.

We’re quite impressed by how our little mylar cover gem is the one inch baby that just keeps giving and giving.

We are even sort of famous for this one. It is often blogged about and most days, if you google “nerdy husband” our pin will be in the top three listings.

We think that is really, really cool.

It’s like we’re the Lenin of Kissing, the Buddha of the Smooch.

Every time these babies go out in the post I feel my Karmic debt getting paid down a little, as somewhere else, warm lips meet in a soft and satisfying smooch.

It’s A Good Thing!

Anyhoo…we’re “away” for the next few days, doing a bit of reno to make the house all Purdy…but I may check in.

We’ll see how it goes…I *loathe* painting houses…so I may need to get away to the world of the interwebs…

Until our Return, thanks for dropping in.

Ciao!

I Ride

We heard back from ELLE Italy over the weekend.

Our buttons made the cut for their article on bike riding.

Yay! We are stoked!

Our photo, taken right here in the Imperial headquarters by moi with my little digital camera, will grace the pages of the Febuary issue of ELLE.

Does it get any better than that for a buttonmaker who seeks to change the world via her buttons? I’m not sure…maybe a show at the MOMA would top this delightful turn in our exsistence.

I’d like to thank all the little people who helped get us here…heh heh.

At moments like these all sorts of Acadamy Award schtick runs through my head, including Sally Field’s infamous…”You like me, you really like me!”

And on that note, Happy Festivus all!

Catch you later, Gator.
